Align and Inspire

Updated: Apr 7, 2020

With the huge shifts happening around the world, we are all given a chance to rewire our lives. Covid-19 has literally forced the world to slow down. Who knew that 2020 would bring a huge awakening to humanity. Our lives have changed dramatically. Jobs are on hold, doing our day to day tasks have changed, and we are all asked to stay home. It's a time of uncertainty. Besides the disaster going on the outside world, we are able to be home with our families. We are given this time to realign our lives from the inside out.

From working a full time job and constantly being on the go, I've felt like I've never had enough time to accomplish certain tasks. I always felt like I needed to rush through life or like I was drowning in a really long to-do list. It's nice for a change to wake up and know that I have time today to take my time and enjoy the little things. We are given permission to slow down and take care of ourselves. That is beautiful. In the midst of the chaos, it can be hard to get through the negative emotions of fear and worry. To help me get through, I like to focus on gratitude for what brings me joy. It's so important to feel grateful for all the little things in life, like the basic necessities: food, water, and a roof over your head. I am grateful to be able to spend quality time with my son and to be able to take my time while I get things done. It feels liberating. Liam loves to sing happy birthday while washing his hands! It makes it fun and I know I will tease him about it later when he grows up! But these are the moments that I am grateful for. What are you grateful for and what changes are you experiencing?

On another note, I've also been able to practice yoga at home and I am loving it! Yoga has always been a passion of mines. With this time at home, I figure I'll use it wisely and reach out to those who would like to practice yoga. This time of course we are all guided to practice social distancing. I'm excited to be launching this site and service to all you as I will be teaching Virtual Yoga classes. Whether you are looking for a new hobby or a way to work out at home, I'd like to invite you to join me in yoga practice via Zoom. I hope to see you all on the mat soon! Be safe, be healthy, and be joyful! Namaste.
